1 – Panagbenga Festival – Baguio City
This month-long annual flower festival was created to pay tribute to the city’s beautiful blooms. The festival includes colorful floats that are covered with flowers (a smaller version of Pasadena’s Rose Parade). The parade is joined by street revelers and more dancers clad in flower-inspired costumes.
2 – Our Lady of Candles – Jaro, Iloilo City
As the biggest and most opulent religious pageant in Western Visayas, the main focus of the event isthe blessing of candles. A long procession follows bearing the patroness – Nuestra Senora de Candelaria. The fiesta queen and her court highlight the celebration.
